Metamorph explores societal boundaries and liberatory potentials through a feminine perspective. Inspired by Agustina Bessa-Luis’s play “Three Women with Iron Masks”, metal costumes, hooks, labyrinthian structures, and choreographic conversations establish a language through conversations between space, design, and the body. Despite the bleakness, the characters find each other in the darkness, creating a transformative language within their limitations. Turning from a holistic cosmogony, in its place they weave together fractured identities through shared affinities.

The Author and the Triad are well acquainted with the fringes. The structures that they tear apart unite once again—even when they are not aware. Tangible and intangible elements coexist to create an ever-shifting atmosphere of inhibitions and power dynamics. In a land bound by cyclical patterns, they remain entwined in the motion of time even through monumental efforts. Yet, they encounter each other in the vastness of this land, reaching out to create a transformative language. A collective of fragmented identities emerges, building new worlds in the dark.
