Resolution revolves around mythical characters reinterpreted in a contemporary context. The core inspiration for Resolution was Kaneto Shindo’s 1988 film Kuroneko—the ghost of a woman who returns to enact revenge on her aggressors. Similarly, this performance tells the story of a woman from another world who was wronged and now seeks closure.

Taking on folk horror and mythical elements, these were combined to retell a story centered around femininity, trauma, and catharsis.
